SA 8000 Certification in India | Social Compliance Standard

ISO 27001 Certification for Information Security Management

What is SA 8000 Certification?

SA 8000 is an auditable certification standard that encourages organizations to develop, maintain, and apply socially acceptable practices in the workplace. It was established by Social Accountability International (SAI) in 1997 as a multi-stakeholder initiative. The SA 8000 standard is based on the principles of international human rights norms as described in International Labour Organization conventions, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Organizations that adopt the SA 8000 standard can improve their global competitiveness by enhancing company and product reputation, promoting transparency, and ensuring ethical sourcing. The certification process requires companies to be audited by an independent certification body. This ensures that their processes align with the goals of the SA 8000 standard.
